Sharon started her career in general aviation, flight training and aircraft handling before taking on a broad range of operations, customer service, compliance and assurance roles at UK regional airports. After joining the Heathrow Airside operations team in 2010 leading on airfield construction assurance she’s worked on such programmes as Terminal 2 construction, runway resurfacing and asset replacement projects. Sharon was the Head of Health and Safety between 2019 and 2023 and was pivotal to the airport’s response to the pandemic. Taking on a newly created role in Airport Operations in September 2023 Sharon leads the next phase of continual improvement and transformation of culture for safety.
