Dr. Economidou is an experienced researcher and tutor, working on the applicability of 3D printing technologies in the pharmaceutical and medical setting. She has a strong background on mechanical engineering and holds a PhD on 3D printed medical devices for drug delivery, from School of Pharmacy, University of Kent. Her expertise involves design and additive manufacturing of medical devices, mechanical and physicochemical testing and animal trials. Dr. Economidou routinely delivers lectures and lab demonstrations on 3D printing and is an Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. She has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles, published in acclaimed scientific journals.
