Dave Wilson

Dave is Directional Drilling & ERD Supervisor and Trainer with 25 years’ of practical experience worldwide within the Petroleum Industry. Dave has worked as an ERD Advisor/Trainer, Directional Driller Supervisor (DDS), DD Trainer, Drilling Manager, OSC & M/LWD Engineer across various continents. He is recognized for being highly motivated and focused, whilst showing good initiative, technical knowledge, leadership and communication. During his 25+ years of practical experience in the industry, most of which he spent with Schlumberger, Dave was responsible for supervision of all well-site drilling activities, wellsite client communications and comprehensive performance monitoring of drilling operations. Later on in the position of Directional Driller Supervisor and ERD Consultant, Dave consulted and supervised drilling activities at land rigs, deep-water drill ships, semi-submersibles with tight anti-collision, mud cap drilling, conductor jetting, MPD, BHA jetting and use of mud motors and RSS. He was involved with technically challenging 3D ERD wells with high step out ratio and deep sidetracks, hole cleaning and borehole stability issues. Dave also developed and delivered training of drill crew and office staff in the latest ERD techniques.
