Nathan Ondyak is the founder and global head of LCH SwapAgent, a service for the bilateral derivatives market. LCH SwapAgent is a subsidiary of LCH Group, which was formed in partnership with 14 leading dealers. Nathan previously was head of products and markets for SwapClear, LCH’s interest rate derivatives clearing service.
During his career, Nathan has overseen a number of innovations in the derivatives markets. These include the launch of the first bilateral derivatives settlement system, the first centralised CSA and calculation agent, the settled-to-market (STM) contract under which over 50% of the global interest rate derivative market now trades, and the asset segregation model used by the leading OTC clearinghouses and Futures Commission Merchants.
Prior to LCH, Nathan was at Markit, where he started their North American distribution business line and was responsible for solutions products and distribution sales within North America, respectively.
Before Markit, Nathan was head of sales and marketing globally for Cantor Fitzgerald’s information division. Prior to sales management, he held multiple product management roles for government and interest rate derivatives products at Cantor.
Nathan has been named on Financial News’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Trading and Technology and Derivatives Intelligences' Rising Stars of Derivatives.
