Thomas Bosse has more than 10 years of international working experience as project/programme

manager and team leader in various areas of energy, environment, sustainability, green economy and

climate change. His primary focus areas are renewable/conventional energies, biomass and waste to energy, energy efficiency and energy demand side management, carbon management and accounting, carbon abatement and resource efficiency strategies, MRV systems as well as sustainability and green economy frameworks. Market analysis, capacity building and stakeholder engagement, project financing and investments as well as climate mitigation projects/programmes (CDM, JI, Gold Standard) and carbon markets are other focal areas. In addition, Thomas has hands on experience in developing, implementing and operating projects in the fields of biomass power, bio fuels and photovoltaics (build-own-operate). Finally, Thomas has extensive experience in developing and marketing new business areas with a special focus on emerging markets. Currently he holds the position of Head of Programmes / OIC at the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, managing the company’s business in the fields of energy, sustainability, green economy and climate change. His responsibilities include business unit management and employee management, developing and marketing new business areas, financial adherence, negotiations and contracting, client relations, and QA/QC. In his previous positions he has developed, implemented and operated renewable energy projects under build-own-operate models as well as managed emission reduction projects/programmes (CDM, JI) throughout the entire project-life-cycle from initial project identification and development up to the point of implementation and project operations, including obtaining required project approvals and marketing/brokerage of carbon credits. Established and implemented MRVs and Monitoring Management and Quality Assurance Systems and executed on-site and desk based technical and financial due diligence and environmental impact assessments. Responsibilities included the development and marketing of new business areas and client relations in a dynamic and international environment, organizing and executing capacity building and training workshops for government institutions, investors, funds and energy trading companies as well as stakeholder consultations at project sites.
