Christiane possesses over 20 years of professional and management experience, predominantly in the mining, resources, utilities industries and financial services. Christiane has worked at all levels of organisations in Australia, the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe, the UK, the United States and India.

Christiane has used her unique blend of management consulting and technical skills to help many companies to drive strategy and business planning cycles in order to improve competitive positioning, prepare business cases, feasibility studies and improve efficiencies. She is an experienced strategicthinker, who can "paint" the path to value creation for an organisation. She holds formal business, economics and engineering qualifications. She is a disciplined and hands-on operator and project manager and a skilled facilitator for workshops involving senior decision makers. She has successfully gained approval for large multi-million dollar projects and implemented several of them on the ground, delivering tangible benefits and solutions resulting in the creation of business value. over 10 years in management consulting and over 10 years in BHP in roles that span project development and delivery in coal, manganese, copper and petroleum around the world; she is currently the Vice President for Analysis & Improvement in BHP Billiton's newly created global Projects Center of Excellence; based in Houston tasked with improving capital efficiency and value creation of BHP’s projects globally. Some of her specialties include: Project Development and Delivery, Studies, Project execution, Portfolio Management and Capital Stewardship; Thinking "outside the box"; achieving the impossible and "making things happen"; Strategic and Business Planning; Business Cases and feasibility Studies; financial Performance and Business Analysis.

Born in former east Germany and having lived there till the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, Christiane immigrated to Australia in 2001 on a skilled independent visa. She and her partner Brad have a 3.5 year old son and currently reside in Houston.
