Matt has spent the last thirty years working in both the energy and resources industries, as well service to our Nation in the U.S. Army. His experience encompasses both contractor as well as owner roles. As an owner, he has held positions ranging from development engineer in polymer manufacturing to development manager to pilot plants manager. As a contractor, Matt has executed both upstream and downstream projects, functioning as a project engineer, project manager, alliance manager, manager of projects, and general manager for WorleyParsons US Gulf Coast small capital projects business.
Matt is currently Vice President and General Manager of WorleyParsons’ Downstream and Chemicals Business for the US Gulf Coast. His assignments have included both grassroots projects as well as brownfield projects, fixed price as well as cost reimbursable, with both line responsibility and corporate staff responsibility, located both overseas as well as in the United States.
Matt’s military service was as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Field Artillery, and included both overseas and United States based tours of duty. Matt is a 1987 graduate of the University of Delaware, with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He is a previous Board member for the ECC (Engineering and Construction Contractors), and is a current Board member for the Rice E&C Global Forum. He and his wife, Pamela currently live in Houston, Texas. Pamela and Matt have three sons, a daughter-in-law; and a grandson—all of whom live in or near the Houston area.
