Augusto Patmore (KPMG Canada Partner) leads KPMG’s Power and Utilities practice based in Toronto.
A Civil Engineer and MBA by training, he focuses on servicing large energy clients around program/project strategy, project disputes, delivery excellence and project turnaround.
His career as a professional engineer and infrastructure professional started in 1996. He has lived and worked on major capital projects in Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong and Spain.
His areas of specialization include providing planning, governance & controls, claims/disputes, risk & contract management improvement support to C-Suite executives around their major capital projects. He has carried out large multi-functional construction cost audits, and independent project reviews (“healthchecks”) in the Americas advising major oil & gas and power & utility corporations around productivity and contractor performance.
He has served as a construction and project management expert on the Refurbishment Construction Review Panel for the $12.8 B Darlington Nuclear Refurbishment Program. He has also performed cost estimate reviews, project controls and procurement assessments, cost reviews and cost reviews for Nalcor, Enbridge Gas, Enwave and a large array of energy sector clients in Canada. Prior to his current career as a partner for KPMG, he was a Project Manager and Project Director in the engineering and construction industry on large international infrastructure projects for 17 years.
He has directly managed major P3 DBFO civil engineering contracts working for large international construction companies, including some of the largest highway privatizations in Canada (407 ETR) and Ireland (M4, M1, M3 Highways).
