Dr (Surgeon Commander) Farah Deeba, is passionate healthcare quality professional and Lean management enthusiast. She is a physician with master’s degree in Business Management and Hospital Administration. She is a certified Bronze Lean Professional in Healthcare- By Simpler Cardiff University, United Kingdom and a trained Six Sigma Black Belt by American Society of Quality (ASQ, Milwaukee, USA). She is also a certified PMP professional Her Healthcare Quality Experience of 21 years’ spans across small standalone polyclinics to large Corporate Multi-Specialty Hospitals and from Armed Forces Hospitals to Private and Government Hospitals. She also served as a Surgeon Commander in the Indian Navy. Presently she is holding forte as quality Head in a group with 10 medical centers in United Arab Emirates. She has been the Hospital Surveyor and Faculty member for various training and Accreditation programs at National level. She had implemented Lean Projects in healthcare setting and also presented a paper on Lean in Healthcare in ASQ World Conference in Dallas, USA, 5-7 May 2014 titled’ Lean there, Done that’. She also has published papers in International Healthcare Journals like the Australian Medical Journal. She is also a Senior member with the ASQ, USA. As a keen quality professional, she represented organizations both at national and international forums as Chairperson, panelist and speaker.
