Dr. Natalia Borinshteyn, recognized industry leader with 20 years experience in Pharma and a unique blend of Medical, Marketing, and Research & Development expertise. Dr. Borinshteyn is a Founder and President of Life Science Excellence Inc, a boutique strategic services company for life science (pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device) companies. In this role Dr. Borinshteyn applies extensive strategic, therapeutic, and scientific expertise to help clients navigate and effectively respond to an increasingly complex and continuously evolving healthcare environment. Prior to the foundation of Life Science Excellence Inc, Dr. Borinshteyn, as Vice-President of the HCV Launch team at Abbvie, led HCV Global and US Medical Affairs teams in preparation of the launch of Abbvie's HCV regimen, from launch strategy and communication platform development to translation of those into tactics. Prior to joining Abbvie, over the previous 18 years, she held several positions within SANOFI and its predecessor companies, in global, US, and Russian affiliates, where she played an important role in bringing 6 innovative therapeutics to market, including treatments for diabetes, obesity, GI/ HCV, and moderate to severe allergies.
Dr. Borinshteyn has applied her Medical, Scientific & Commercial expertise in the development of a long-term portfolio strategy for Sanofi which resulted in substantial advancement and effectiveness of R&D and Business development investments. Dr. Borinshteyn has led medical affairs and physician training activities for Dermatology Business (focusing on Sculptra and assessment of business development opportunities in the Dermatology field). In that role, she defined and led execution of Medical Strategy with cross-functional Medical Core teams. In 6 months, she developed and rolled out execution of a best-in-class, hands-on physician's training program for dermatologists and plastic surgeons that was recognized by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery with a Diamond award. Dr. Borinshteyn graduated with a degree in medicine from the Russian State Medical University in 1994 and undertook a residency in dermatology, qualifying as a dermatologist in 1996. She completed a PhD project studying immunologic changes in children with atopic dermatitis and obtained a dual degree in allergy and immunology. She received her business education at The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and Harvard Business School. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Diabetes Association.
