Ahmed joined PepsiCo in 2009 as NEA BU Sr. HR Director. He spearheaded the talent sustainability agenda with a special focus on front line associates. Under his leadership, NEA achieved its first ever OHS engagement score of 75%; halved employee turnover to record-low rates; reached all-time high bench strength as well talent exports; and scored an integrated rating in control environment audit. As part of NEA‘s management team, Ahmed had an impactful contribution to the achievement of outstanding business results despite of political and economic challenges. Under his leadership, HR partnered with the business to optimize organization design as an enabler of NEA‘s transformation journey. Within the HR function, Ahmed transformed the NEA HR Operating Model and led the blueprinting of MEA HR Operating Model. Ahmed also developed a strong talent pool of HR future leaders and exported many HR talents. He delivered sustainable HR processes and best practice tools that earned NEA many awards namely, the Chairman‘s Award, two Global HR Excellence Award, Global Hire & Higher Award, AMEA‘s Talent Sustainability PwP award and MEA‘s Talent Magnet Award. Before PepsiCo, Ahmed‘s career spanned 17 years with Proctor & Gamble where he held several leadership positions in HR across Central Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa as well as Asia Pacific. He had many roles in all HR disciplines in a generalist or COE capacity. His latest role was leading the Organization Excellence COE for Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa where he was the change leader of the business model transformation project. In P&G, Ahmed gained many critical experiences such as BU integration projects, mergers and acquisitions, crisis management and start-ups.
