Dr Ali Al Sanousi is a visionary healthcare entrepreneur focused on improving the quality of care through the use of Information Technology. He is an analytical thinker with expertise in implementing new concepts and deploying solutions such as electronic medical records systems in large-scale medical facilities. Presently Dr Ali serves as the Executive Chief Medical Information Officer of Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at Cornell University, Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar and the Director of Clinical Informatics Fellowship Training Program.
Dr Ali is the clinical lead for the enterprise-wide Clinical Information System program being implemented in eight hospitals, twenty two healthcare centers and numerous specialty clinics across the state of Qatar. During this process of clinical transformation, he has overseen more than fifty Go-Live Events. Dr Ali holds a fellowship degree in Clinical Informatics from the Medical School of Harvard University.
