A seasoned management professional with over 10 years of experience in the Middle East waste management sector, Ashly Alex heads Imdaad’s business development and bidding team for environmental services. As part of this role, he is responsible for defining the unit’s growth strategy and setting targets for the team, in addition to building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
After joining Imdaad in February 2008 as Operations Officer, Alex worked his way up to become the Assistant Manager Business Development in March 2009, before assuming his current position. At Imdaad, Alex is known for his ability to lead, multitask at various organizational levels, and implement innovative approaches with an excellent eye for detail.
From 2004 to 2008, Alex served as Sales Engineer at M.T. Khoory & Sons in Dubai – a position he took up following a year-long tenure with Philips India as Maintenance Engineer.
An Indian national fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada, Alex holds an MBA from Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from KVG College of Engineering in Karnataka. In his free time, Alex enjoys music, travelling and football.
Alex is a member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) as well as the Chartered Institute of Environment Health (CIEH) in the United Kingdom.
