Mr Azmi bin Adam, having passed his IFE Professional Qualification in 1988, serves in the IFE management council, where he had served as the Honorary Treasurer and other portfolios before he was appointed the Honorary Secretary in 1996. He had served as the Honorary Secretary since then and was upgraded to the Fellow Grade of the IFE in 2002. He was appointed the Vice President of the Singapore Branch in 2012 and was elected and nominated the 3rd President of the IFE Singapore Branch in 2014. He is currently serving his two year term as the President and his term as the President will end on 1 April 2016. Mr Azmi bin Adam is also the Senior Assistant Director of the Central Enforcement Department in HQ SCDF. As the Senior Assistant Director, he is responsible to ensure the effective and efficient operation and management of all matters of the Enforcement and Prosecution Branch which includes the regulating and enforcing of fire safety in buildings, petroleum and flammable materials and CD Shelter requirements in accordance to the provisions of the Fire Safety Act and Civil Defence Shelter Act. Prior to his current appointment as Senior Assistant Director to the Central Enforcement Department, Mr Azmi bin Adam was the Officer Commanding of the Fire Safety and Investigation Training Wing of the Civil Defence Academy. He was responsible for the development and conduct of Fire Safety and Fire Investigation courses for both the SCDF personnel and the public and is the subject matter expert on fire safety and its legislation, emergency planning and fire investigation.
