Chris Celano serves as President, CEO and as a Director on the Board for IHI E&C International Corporation in Houston, Texas. As President, he is responsible for establishing strategic direction, managing the company’s project portfolio and overseeing all aspects of operations for the company. Prior to his role as President, Celano served as Senior Vice President of Business Administration and General Counsel for IHI E&C. As SVP of Business Administration and General Counsel, Celano supervised all legal and administrative functions including HR, IT, facilities and administrative services. During this time, Celano played an integral role in creating company and leadership infrastructure to enable to the organization to develop its workforce and grow its revenue. Before joining IHI E&C, Celano operated as the Vice President and General Counsel for publicly-traded, international offshore drilling contractor, Vantage. Celano has also worked as an associate for New York City law firms, Ellenoff Grossman & Schole and Warshaw Burstein. Celano earned a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from Vanderbilt University, a Juris Doctorate from Boston College School of Law, a Masters of Laws in taxation from New York University School of Law, and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has practiced law, corporate management, and compliance for over 20 years.
