Mr. Manindra Chandra Das is Executive Director and Chief of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), ONGC, India. He is Honours Graduated in Mining Engineering from Premier Indian Institute i.e. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. Post Graduation in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad Joined ONGC on 9th April 1981. He is currently responsible for overall performance of HSE activities spread across all over India and advisory to all HSE activities of ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) which is having global presence in 16 countries. Also responsible for HSE requirements in the vertical integration business development process of ONGC into downstream, retailing and LNG business. He worked as an interface with top management and various Ministries of Government of India vis. Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas Corporation (Administrative matters), Ministry of Labor (on workers safety & welfare), Ministry of Environment & Forests (for environmental issues including oil spill response), Ministry of Defense (for oil spill & security), Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Civil Aviation etc. He was awarded “Manager of the Year” in 1995 for his outstanding contribution and dedication. His has vast experience well control management. He is nominated as CEO to look after hydrocarbon operation in AFPC Field in Syria by the Board of Directors of Himalaya Energy Syria Business Venture (HESBV) a joint venture of ONGC CNPCI China and also nominated to a Ministerial delegation to Syria & Egypt in April, 2007
