Prior to joining the National Defence University of Malaysia as Head, Leadership, Corporate and International Affairs, Dato’ Dr. Jesbil Singh served with the Ministry of Defence in various capacities dealing with matters of Procurement, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Management of Defence Reserves, Offsets Management, Bilateral Defence Industry Cooperation, Defence Industry Growth, providing support to the hosting of International Defence Exhibitions such as LIMA and DSA, as well as management of defence financial resources in the context of Operating Expenditure. He retired as Deputy Secretary General (Management) of the Ministry, overseeing matters of Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Technology and General Administration. Dato’ Dr. Jesbil Singh graduated from the University of Malaya in 1975 with a B.A (Hons) and has since gone on to obtain other tertiary qualifications, namely L.L.B (Hons) (University of London), L.L.M. (University of Malaya), Certificate of Legal Practice, Masters in Public Administration (Pennsylvania State University) and Doctor of Business Administration (Multimedia University). He has also attended short courses in countries such as Japan, Korea, France, United Kingdom, Australia and the United States. Dato’ Dr. Jesbil Singh is presently holding the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor (Industry Relations and Corporate Affairs), National Defence University of Malaysia. He is also the Director, Centre For Leadership and Professional Development of the university.
