Dr Stellios Plainiotis is the Chief Executive Officer of NEAPOLI. With 15 years of experience in the fields of Energy and the Environment, he has provided consultancy to over 45 Green Building projects in Asia and in Europe. He is the co-author of the first Chinese Guidebook on Sustainable Building Design: “Design for Sustainability”, which is now used as a textbook at the Tongji University, Shanghai and the University of Nottingham (UK). Prior to moving to Malaysia, Stellios headed the R&D Department of ΖΕF (UK) Ltd, leading the energy and environmental design of some of the most prestigious projects in Europe and the Middle East, including Hoxton Square in London and the Issam Fares Institute (IFI) at the American University of Beirut with Ζaha Hadid Αrchitects, Crystal Palace Park Masterplan (London), Žižkov Masterplan in Prague (Hamiltons London) and Rohansky Ostrov Masterplan, Prague (ΚΡF Architects). In Malaysia his projects include the new KLIA2 LCCT (with LKMD Architecture), the new proposed mixed use development and SURIA Mall extension at Lot185, KLCC (with Cesar Pelli) and the new LAMAN PKNS Headquarters with Veritas Design Studio. From 2010 to 2016 Dr Stellios Plainiotis served as a Director of the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EUMCCI) and represented the European Union in Malaysia as the head of the Green Buildings Committee.
