Howard Taylor is an experienced and respected executive with a distinguished 28-year career, marketing and selling healthcare technologies. Originating from the UK, he started there in the innovative pharmaceutical business with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals. He progressed through several commercial roles across the UK, Ireland and Netherlands before becoming a General Manager in Germany. This period included leadership of large multi-functional organisations and key roles requiring collaboration with both large and small pharmaceutical partners plus joint ventures; including Aventis, Pfizer, GSK and 3M Pharmaceuticals. In 2009, with a move to Geneva, in Switzerland, he accepted new partnering responsibilities by leading the trade marketing across EMEA with 37 different distributors for P&G Pet Care. Howard moved back into healthcare in 2011, taking up the position as General Manager for Western Europe with PGT Healthcare, the joint venture between Procter & Gamble and TEVA Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, he switched his attention to focus on P&G’s capabilities in developing a sustainable, global franchise within the pharmacy channel, going beyond OTC medicines into diagnostics, baby care, hair care and beauty care. Since 2015, he has been leading the Global OTC Franchise for Sandoz, based just outside Munich, Germany. This has required more internal partnering between the fledgling, global franchise and regional commercial operations as well as with other divisions of Novartis. Howard lives with his wife, Katharine, near Munich while his three children either work or study at university in the UK.
