Mr. Dodd was born in Sacramento, California. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Information Systems Concentration from California State University, Sacramento in 2001. Prior to working for the FBI and during college, Mr. Dodd held many different positions at Verizon Wireless, Agilent Technologies (HP), MCI, and State Farm. Mr. Dodd entered on duty as a Special Agent (SA) of the FBI on January 8, 2006. From 2006 through 2011, SA Dodd was assigned to the Portland Division, where he worked Counterterrorism and Cyber investigations and specialized in the use of internet by terrorist groups. In Portland, and later in Honolulu, SA Dodd was a member of the divisions Hostage Negotiations Team and Firearms Instructor. In 2011, SA Dodd was transferred to the Honolulu Division, Guam RA where he worked Public Corruption, Cyber, Human Trafficking, and the FBI representative to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and Palau until 2016. As a field agent, SA Dodd accepted a TDY to Sofia, Bulgaria as the Cyber ALAT. The most notable achievement during SA Dodd’s tenure as a field agent in Guam was the indictment (and subsequent conviction) of two Guam police officers working as enforcers at a brothel of trafficked women and then investigating and testifying against the recruiter in the State of Chuuk, FSM. The case was the first Human Trafficking case prosecuted in the island nation. ALAT Dodd is planning on reporting to Riyadh in May 2016. He is married with two daughters and a son.
