With a Master degree in Chemical technology at the Technical University in Eindhoven (1982) Jeanine joined the Gas Treating group in Shell International Petroleum Company Manufacturing department in The Hague. After the first assignment, step-outs to process modeling, crude characterisation, planning and scheduling and refinery and gas processing support followed. All assignments included regular site presence providing opportunity to connect day-to-day operation with the in depth process development and modeling focus. She returned in 1994 in Gas Processing within Shell Global Solutions International BV. In her gas processing career she covers operation troubleshooting and improvements, process design and integration, process debottlenecking, development of new processes, process comparisons, line-ups and equipment in the area of hydrocarbon and synthesis gas separation and absorption, adsorption and sulphur conversion processes. Emphasis based on the amine processes. She also gained expertise in the CCS and EOR sector, connecting carbon capture and subsurface knowledge to surface processing of hydrocarbon streams.
