John has been with Swiss Re for the past 22 years and is currently Head of L&H Underwriting Innovation, a role where he works with insurers to help them reinvent their own underwriting processes through the optimised use of data, technology, services and partnerships. He has a strong focus on product innovation and simplification of process and has a passion for solutions which help insurers to better reach customers who struggle currently to access valuable protection products. He has also been heavily involved in the regulatory debate around fair risk assessment, representing Swiss Re and the industry at both national and European level.
Prior to joining Swiss Re in Zurich, John worked for Gen Re in Germany and Allied Dunbar and Friends Provident in the UK.
