Jonathan is an English/French speaking British national and has spent over 20 years in the MENA region and has amassed a comprehensive behavioural understanding from operating within a multi-cultural environment with experience in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. A former Regional Talent Director for some of the world’s leading organisations in financial services, logistics, local Government and media. He brings with him vast experience of integrating talent management strategies to meet the needs of both local and expatriate employees to both international and locally based organisations and has faced the challenges set by meeting the requirements of the many diverse local labour laws, obligations and restriction across the MENA region. Jonathan is a talent management and organisational transformation specialist with a warm consultative approach, strong commercial acumen and experience of working between board and operational level. His successes have included the creation & implementation of integrated HR solutions, performance management systems, talent acquisition strategies, benefit & rewards structures, induction initiatives, career mapping, succession planning, training & development and employee retention schemes. Jonathan is a specialist in the design, creation and delivery of progressive management development and competency-based employee skills training programmes integrated to succession planning and performance monitoring and evaluation systems. Jonathan is a qualified instructor in the world-famous Ron Kaufman ‘’Up Your Service’’ programme and holds a CELTA certificate in English language training and attended a CIPD certification course in 2010. He has spent much of his career in designing and delivering customized, needs-targeted consultancy solutions. Jonathan’s delivery style is fun and engaging. He believes that people get the most out of a learning opportunity when they are actively involved in creating the solution; they are having fun and they can see a direct correlation between the learning and their job. In 2008, Jonathan was head-hunted to join the WPP Group – the world’s largest advertising & media group to oversee the introduction and development of the talent management operations for Mindshare & MediaCom across the MENA region, responsible for the implementation of HR best practice aligned to group, WPP and international SOX requirements and ensure full legal and ethical compliance. The role presented diverse challenges with a multi-cultural mix of both local and expatriate employees, across 17 offices in 12 countries. The role also faced the challenge of meeting varying local labour laws and individual country requirements and the specific nationalisation and localisation issues of the workforce within each country.
