Kaizad Sunavala is a Reliability Advisor for Chevron, Downstream Reliability Center of Excellence. He has 26 years experience in the refining and petrochemical industries in the field of process design, reliability and maintenance consulting. Currently, he is based in Houston, TX. His areas of specialization are: Design for Reliability, RAM modeling, Reliability analytics, Maintenance data informatics and integrated operations-reliability modeling. Kaizad is a certified Maintenance & Reliability professional (CMRP) and has authored several papers and presented at various conferences. Prior to his career at Chevron, Kaizad worked for the Hartford Steam Boiler Reliability / ABB Technology group for 10 years and served as a reliability consultant to several leading oil & gas companies in Europe, North America and the Middle East. He has a Masters degree in Reliability Engineering from University of Tennessee, Masters in Chemical Engineering from University of Idaho, MBA from Penn State University and Bachelors in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is a member of American Society of Quality – Reliability Engineers, Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals and represents Chevron on the AFPM Maintenance and Reliability Committee.
