Katherine Mächler Better

Katherine began her professional journey with BHP Billiton, the world’s largest mining company. Over the course of 12 years, she held diverse roles across Colombia, Chile, and the United States, where she also earned her MBA. Her expertise lies in HSEE, with a strong focus on designing and implementing Management Systems.
For the past ten years, Katherine has been a driving force behind sustainability and health & safety initiatives at adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach. She supports regional teams in meeting their HSEE targets, while shaping workplace decarbonization strategies for scope 1 and 2, overseeing governance HSEE frameworks, and leading audits. Her dedication ensures that adidas workplaces foster optimal environments for employees throughout the entire real estate lifecycle—enhancing both employee well-being and operational efficiency.
