Len Babin, CPP, is a Canadian expert in International Industrial Security who has advised many organizations throughout Latin America and the Middle East. He is an experienced, life-long trainer who has been an instructor at the national academy of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Mr. Babin is an executive-level security leader with a successful career as a Security Consultant, Director of Security of a private company and a Superintendent in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He is the owner and principal consultant of Primoris Associates Inc., an international security company based in Canada specializing in corporate security, security training, and international security and justice support. Primoris Associates was formed in 2004 and has provided services to different organizatons in the form of threat and risk assessments, security reviews and assisting companies to build sustainable corporate security frameworks. The company also provides services to the Government of Canada, having recently performed TRAs for the main Parliament Building and the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. Babin has been the Director of Security of a provincial electric system operator where he developed and led the delivery of a comprehensive corporate security framework. As the Director of Security lead agency in bulk electricity delivery in a Canadian province, he led a team to perform a threat and risk assessment of the provincial electricity distribution system. He was instrumental in the security design of a new provincial electricity system control centre. He was a member of the drafting teams which created the Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards for Cyber Security for the North American power grid. He enjoyed a successful multi-faceted career of criminal operations, technology, training and asset protection as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 33 years. His career as a police officer provided an opportunity to deliver in-service training to colleagues, something he did for his entire career formally and informally, at the Canadian Police College and at the RCMP Academy. He has been a drug enforcement investigator, a criminal intelligence analyst, Head of Interpol operations for Canada, a Director of Information Technology and a leader in many internal projects. In 2011 he was asked by the Government of Canada to lead a contingent to Guatemala to participate in a Presidential Police Reform Commission there for a period of one year. Mr. Babin has worked in policing and corporate security for over 40 years. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
