Mark Fadel, Optimum’s General Manager for the Middle East region has 20 years’ procurement experience, including 10 years in the Middle East and Africa region. He is an experienced and adaptable senior procurement professional who is results driven and capable of delivering in challenging operating environments.In recent years Mark has established a proven track record in successfully setting up centralized procurement functions in three organizations (Nokia, Citibank & Emirates NBD) in the Middle East and Africa, where his strategic outlook, functional leadership and ‘hands on’ management approach has delivered significant benefits to the organizations.Mark has worked in a number of different industries including Aerospace, Travel, Financial Services, Healthcare, Hospitality, Leisure and Entertainment, Oil and Gas, Packaging, Property and Telecommunications.Mark has a number of experiences in managing a variety of procurement transformation and cost management initiatives, including strategy development, organizational design, procurement governance, policy and procedures, process improvements, opportunity analysis, category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, competence assessment and development, and program management.Mark is a CIPS Corporate Award Trainer and is also a CIPS Corporate Certification Assessor, working with clients across a variety of industries in the Middle East, assessing the end-to-end operation of their procurement and supply departments.Mark is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply and has undertaken the Institute of Leadership and Management ‘Train the trainer’.
