Markus Hermes is working in the ALM & Financial Planning of UniCredit Bank AG, Germany. His main responsibility is to analyse and strategically steer the short and medium/longterm regulatory liquidity indicators of the HVB Group (HypoVereinsbank Group). He is also in charge of the definition of the Funds Transfer Pricing framework with the goal of guaranteeing a profitable steering of the bank’s balance sheet and a proper pricing for balance sheet items through definition of cost allocation for assets and remuneration of liabilities. When he joined UniCredit he started in the Business Relationship & Pricing unit, where he determined the Market Rates plus Funding Spreads and performed complex financial calculations for large and/or non-standard transactions. Markus holds a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting and Taxes from the University of Göttingen, Germany.
