Martijn is the founder of The Kgotla Company in 2003. A flexible freethinker. 22 years of work experience is divided into the following areas; Brand and Identity Management, Real Estate Management Management, the new workplace, change management and leadership development. Over the past twelve years, he directed over 66 transitions and leadership programs for large international clients of The Kgotla Company. He also supervised more than 250 executives in the leadership of weeks in Africa. He facilitates dialogue between CEOs and the workers for large companies such a Riotinto in South Africa with 4000 mineworkers, Debswana diamond min in Botswana 5000 workers, KLM and also Dutch Red Cross. His work experience started as a management trainee at ABN AMRO Corporate Real Estate Management and later became Corporate Real Estate Director for Europe & Emerging Markets for VNU-ACNielsen. As Marketing Director of WPP-owned branding company in Amsterdam, he worked on many retail brands such as Levi’s Dockers, Shurgard and TNT. The large international experience gives him an understanding of cultures and diversity management. He is sharing a casestudy of KLM Workplace at Schiphol Airport. Recently he also facilitates dialogues for Rabobank and is aiming at revitalising the Lekgotla system in Botswana.
