Mr. Maehara graduated with Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kyoto, Japan, and has been in the District Cooling Plant industry for over 25 years. His project portfolio includes the Kuala Lumpur Sentral DCS, Kuala Lumpur City Centre DCS, Singapore District Cooling Plant – Marina South, Shinagawa Station East Area DCS, Tokyo and Kansai International Airport DCS, Osaka in Japan. Mr. Maehara completed PhD in Osaka University, Japan, specialized in Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering and he is waiting for final approval of Osaka University for PhD. His theme for PhD is DCS plant optimization and those study result will be implemented in actual DCS plant engineering in Asia region.Mr. Maehara currently served as a General Manager, Business Development in District Cooling Plant, under Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd, Japan and he advocates for the awareness and need to optimize chiller plant operation in order to reduce Carbon Emission. He frequent travelled among ASEAN and China to promote Energy Efficiency through Mitsubishi Industrial Grade High Efficiency Chillers, Heat Pump, Co-generation and DCS Plant Operation Optimization.
