Rubens focus his practice in regulatory law, product liability and corporate matters related to the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, medical devices and other life sciences industries. Before starting his current firm, Rubens has worked for over 12 years as an associate and a partner at prominent law firms, always with in-depth concentration in the life sciences field of law and providing legal assistance to some of the major life sciences industries. From an academic standpoint, Rubens holds a Law Degree from the University of São Paulo (2006), a Specialization in Torts and Product Liability from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (2009); an LL.M. in Law, Science and Technology from Stanford University (2012); and a Master Degree in Civil Law from the University of São Paulo (2013). Rubens is currently pursuing a Doctor Degree from the University of São Paulo (expected 2019) and tutoring students at the same school of law. Rubens is currently the President of the Health Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo Chapter (OAB/SP) and is often appointed by legal guides and directories as one of the leading lawyers in the Brazilian life sciences field of law.
