Salah is an award winning experienced Sustainability Specialist with over 25 years of international experience in delivering variety of projects across numerous sectors. He now holds the position of Director Environment & sustainability at the King Abdullah Economic City. He is LEED Accredited Professional and QSAS Certified Green Professional and has led the design and Design-management of a number of prestigious projects such as:Pearl River Tower in Guangzhou China (designated to be the first zero energy skyscraper in the world), United Nation Headquarter Upgrade in NYC (historic sustainable renovation of the HQ complex),Madagascar House- Bronx Zoo (first LEED-Gold Certification for a Landmark Building in NY State), Bank of America-1 Bryant Park, NYC (first skyscrapers achieving LEED Platinum Certification in the US) and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, and Barwa Financial District. Salah is the author of numerous published works, technical papers related to High Performance Buildings, Carbon Neutral Solutions and Indoor Environment Quality. Salah holds two Masters of Science Degrees; MS in Mechanical Engineering specialising in High Performance Buildings and the second one in Computational Fluid Dynamics.
