Scott L. Peters is a Partner of DNS Designs, LLC and one of the inventors of MagZip; a revolutionary magnetic zipper that was licensed to Under Armour and Ideal Fastener Corporation. MagZip was invented to help Scott’s Uncle, who suffers from Myotonic Dystrophy, and was brought to market by Under Armour in the fall of 2014. Scott and the DNS Designs team continue to innovate with zippers and other closures. Scott is also the Co-Founder and Vice President of Construction Robotics (www.robotics.build). There he has led the team from concept to commercialization of the world’s first Semi-Automated Masonry (SAM) robotic brick laying system. He also works part time with Progressive Machine and Design, a 150+ person automation company in Victor, NY where he manages a company-wide software project to improve internal business operations. He has held various roles in engineering and management across a range of industries over the past 14 years. Previously, Scott worked at General Motors developing advanced manufacturing technologies for fuel cell engines and at Intel supporting manufacturing of microelectronics. Scott is a driven entrepreneur and inventor and holds a number of patents across various industries. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
