Shaykh Haytham Tamim’s extensive expertise spans over 30 years across the main Islamic jurisprudence schools of thought and different Islamic denominations through highly advanced classical and religious texts. Studying with some of the foremost scholars in their expertise, he holds some of the highest Ijazahs (certificates) Quran, Hadith (the prophetic traditions) and Fiqh (Islamic rulings). His own gift for teaching was evident when he gave his first sermon to a large audience at the age of 17 and went on to serve as a senior lecturer of Islamic transactions and comparative jurisprudence at the Islamic University of Beirut. Shaykh Haytham has continued to teach, travelling around the UK, Europe and wider afield and won the 2015 BISCA award for Outstanding Contribution to Education and Teaching. Some of the highlights of his career include setting up the first editing and publishing house for ancient Islamic manuscripts in Lebanon. He has verified over 20 books due to his accreditation in interpretation and sciences of the Qur’an, Prophetic sayings (Hadith) and jurisprudence (Fiqh) from the scholars of Lebanon, Syria, Pakistan, Dubai, Bahrain and the UK. Shaykh Haytham orchestrated the design and delivery of over 200 different courses as a senior lecturer and resident scholar on the practical application of Islamic knowledge to modern day challenges since Utrujj started in 2001. He is the founder and director of Shariah solution, a consultancy firm in Islamic finance, 2009 based in London serves Europe and the Middle East.
