Valter TREVISANI was born in Udine (Italy) on 29th March 1962. He graduated in Economics with honors at the University of Trieste and began working for the Generali Group in December 1988, after a one-year experience for Credito Italiano, the current UNICREDIT Bank. From 1988 to 1991 he worked at the Research Dept. of Generali Head Office, where he was in charge of monitoring the developments taking place in the main insurance markets outside Italy, with particular reference to Central and Eastern Europe. From 1991 to 1995 he worked in various U.K. and U.S.A. subsidiaries of the Group in the underwriting area. In January 1996 he came back to Trieste Head Office and was appointed Area Manager within the Group Insurance Operations of the Corporate Center, in charge of the U.K., the C.E.E. region and Asia. He was in charge of the working team paving the way for Generali Group’s entrance in the Chinese market, soon followed by India. In 1998 he also took the responsibility for the Netherlands, followed by Spain in 1999. In 2002 he was promoted Assistant General Manager. In 2007 he was appointed Deputy General Manager. From February 2009 to December 2012 his responsibility covered all foreign territories of operations of the Generali Group as well as the Life, Non-Life and Reinsurance activities at Group level He currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Generali Group companies both in Italy and abroad. In January 2013 he became Chief Technical Officer of Assicurazioni Generali and in December 2014 he was appointed Group Head of Insurance and Reinsurance, reporting to the GroupCEO. His responsibilities include: Group Reinsurance, Global Life, Global P&C Retail, Global Claims, P&C Corporate and Insurance Performance Optimization.
