Ros Howard, BSc (hons), PGCE


Ros is a professional business trainer with a rich and varied career in industry and education. She believes that excellence in communication and other “soft skills” is vital for business success and has a real passion for instilling learning in others. For the last 10 years she has provided training, coaching and consultancy to a variety of clients in many different countries and from many different organisations. Having taught English as a Foreign Language, Ros is particularly sensitive to the needs of the non-native English speakers. She has a BSc in Applied Sciences and a post graduate certificate of education.


Steve Mallaband, BSc (hons), CEng. MIET


Steve is a procurement professional with 25 years of experience who has held senior positions with large organisations both in the UK and abroad. He has worked in both the public and private sectors and during his career has bought a large variety of goods and services in an international context. He believes professional procurement creates huge value for organisations, allowing them access to significant untapped potential in their supply base. For the last 7 years Steve has provided training and consultancy to a variety of clients around the globe. He is a chartered electrical engineer (CEng. MIET) and is an affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Both Steve and Ros are fellows of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (FITOL). They will work together to deliver this workshop, offering you the best of both worlds – a very experienced procurement practitioner backed by an expert in communication and soft skills.
